It's July in Coffs Harbour so what do Jeepers want to do ...go driving. This is a group of Club members telling lies about what they have been doing or what they are going to do next.

This is a group of club members not telling lies about what they have been doing or are going to do.

The trip started from the Trip Co-Ordinators chosen spot and nobody minded that it was outside his house. For some, it did mean an early trip to Maccas to get the obligatory trip breakfast.

The Trip Co-Ordinator impressed a few people by producing an up-to-date map of the run and even had plans of what we we going to look at. The trip started smoothly heading out over Red Hill and out to the remnant old growth forests to the west of Coffs. There were six Jeeps in the line-up ranging from the Classic '72 Wagoneer to the latest JK.

This is the Jeep Action JK decked out in sponsorship colours.

We travelled into the forest and met an unexpected barrier consisted of a 1 metre tree across the track. The bikes had been crossing it using a small platform, however, as no one was interested in removing a years supply of firewood we decided to go the other way.

Up into the tall growth along new tracks that appeared to have been recently cut to explore the logging options for the area.

There was enough lantana for the Club Prez to thank that he had brought his son's XJ along rather than risk scratches on his highly polished beauty.

This is a 50year timber span bridge crossing a 15m drop. Only a few ventured across to enjoy that feeling of space under the legs.

This is an area of wild scenes of raw natural beauty. No it's not a Jeep but we do understand. This is a great photo to have a closer look at.

Pristine waterfalls, rock pools and cascading creeks were the reward from this run... and there was a bit of mud along the way.

Airing back up.

A great trip and a great finish at the aptly named Magic Pool with a wonderful blue lustre.
