Wednesday Night Run

The club gathered precisely at 6.00pm, just after dusk, at Macca's North. Nine jeeps in all and headed north through Korora, climbed the steepness of Lovett's Road and along Rover Trail to Bruxner Park. Adrian had to do some quick filling under lights when his oil pressure began to fall on some of the steeper inclines. It was here that we had the rendezvous with a couple of late Jeeps, including the Club President who offered 'unforeseen events' as the reason.

We then headed north along Polyosma Road and through the creeks and mudholes to Settlers Road. Tracy was enjoying her first night run and experiencing 'mud under lights' for the first time.

Heading out from Settlers we turned onto Bucca Road and then along Eastern Boundary Road where the preferred route to the dinner spot was blocked by a locked gate. Nevermind, there are plenty of roads, we proceeded along Marys Waterhole Road to Sherwood Road to our utilmate destination - the top of Widowmaker. As we arrived at the top of the hill we were greeted by the welcome sign of a roaring fire courtesy of Zane and Stef.

Eskies were quickly unpacked, and Jeepers started to tell lies around the fire. With the bright stars of the Milky Way and the Souther Cross above we kept warm standing around the fire until it was time to regretfully head home.
